Narcyz was born in 1969 in Poland. He has won the title of all-around champion many times in national and international Kungfu/Wushu competitions in Europe and the United States. Beginning his martial arts studies in the early eighties at the age of twelve, he and his two friends formed a "martial arts fight club" in his basement, where they practiced fighting techniques and strengthening their bodies, intensively training from 5 to 6 hours every single day. From this practice, his interest led him to acquire professional instruction in Japanese Karate Kyokushin. Two years later, he turned his passion to Chinese martial arts, which has become his life-long pursuit.

Since then, he studied extensively with several prominent masters in internal and external Chinese martial arts (Kung Fu/Wushu, Tai Chi and Chi Kung) in Poland, North America, and China. Between 1985 and 1997, Mr. Latecki won several all-around Martial Arts Championship titles and took home over thirty-four gold medals in national and international competitions in Europe and in North America.  In 2008 Mr. Latecki was voted one of the Top One Hundred Extraordinary Martial Artists of the World and Prominent Wushu Coach in the publication, In the Spirit of the 2008 Olympics: Extraordinary Chinese Martial Artists of the World. Along with an officially registered certificate approved by the Evaluation Committee of the World Culture Science Academe and International Wushu Sanshou Dao Association, this recognition was to honor his outstanding achievements in teaching and training in Chinese martial arts.

He has been teaching Chinese martial arts since 1988. One of the first certified instructors in Europe, he also was one of the first qualified to test and rank students, as well as instructors, in the International YMAA Training System. He immigrated to the US in 1993, obtaining a working visa due to his martial arts skills, and taught as head instructor at Yang's Martial Arts Association HQ (YMAA) in Boston, as well in Andover, MA, and in Derry, NH provisional YMAA branches.

Mr. Latecki is a versatile practitioner, teacher, and judge of national and international tournaments in both the internal and external Chinese martial arts. He has been featured in pay-per-view television and The Discovery Channel, as well as other TV shows and many instructional videotapes and books on Chinese martial arts. He had a prominent part in Grandmaster Liang Shouyu's and Dr. Yang Jwingming's 12 Animal Pattern Xingyiquan videotape and was also selected to perform in several of Dr. Yang Jwingming's instructional videotapes such as:

Long Fist Kung Fu -  Yi Lu Mei Fu & Er Lu Mei Fu, by YMAA Publishing

Long Fist Kung Fu - Shi Zhi Tan, by YMAA Publishing

Long Fist Kung Fu - Xiao Hu Yan, by YMAA Publishing

Shy Er Lu Tan Tui, by YMAA Publishing

Additionally, in his book Kung Fu Elements, Grandmaster Liang Shouyu spotlighted Narcyz in several dozen photographs demonstrating his jumping and spinning kick techniques, as well as body conditioning, involving intricate acrobatic movements. He is referred to in this book as one of the "pillars of Wushu of our society".

He was also invited on numerous occasions to showcase his martial art skills by choreographing and performing dramatic fight sequences for the American Chinese Art Society and the Commonwealth Civic Ballet.

In February 1998, Mr. Latecki and his wife Eva, who is also a Chinese martial arts instructor, founded their own martial arts center CMA (Chinese Martial Arts) in Acton, Massachusetts. Over the past years, the school has helped hundreds of students with a wide range of expertise and ages (from 4 years old to over 80) to achieve their martial arts goals, while improving all aspects of their lives.  The Lateckis have guided their students in achieving high honors in national and international competitions, scoring prominently in each competing category, taking over 600 gold medals, including the Grand Champions titles.

To further his knowledge in martial arts, Qigong (Chi Kung) and healings, Mr. Latecki has traveled to China on several occasions. In 2006, at the invitation of his primary teacher, Grandmaster Liang Shouyu, Mr. Latecki journeyed once again to Sichuan, China (home of the famous Emei mountains), as well as to Tibet. He demonstrated his martial arts skills in the cities of Chengdu, Chongqing, and Loushan Dafo.  During this tour, Mr. Latecki and his companions were accompanied by a local and national TV crew, who interviewed him and videotaped his performances, which were exceptionally well received after being broadcast.

Mr. Latecki continues to study, research, and share his knowledge with his students on the many aspects of Chinese internal and external martial arts, and Chi Kung. It is his belief that a true martial artist is strong in body, mind and spirit. If the body is physically strong, it provides a powerful foundation for the spirit, and strong spirit produces a healthy mind to make good decisions. In his classes, he stresses that through the practice of martial arts, along with the study of its moral principles, one not only sustains good physical health, but also trains his or her mental and emotional strength to use power wisely. Such a foundation ultimately improves one's health and leads to better relationships with others.
